Alexandra Midal has a doctorate in design history and is an exhibition curator. After having been director of the French Regional Collection of Contemporary Art (FRAC) of Haute-Normandie, Assistant to Dan Graham and resident of the Villa Medici, today she is a lecturer in the history and theory of design, director of Masters in design and curator of the Design Project Room at the High School of Art and Design (HEAD) in Geneva. Author of many books, she has developed a theoretical and critical perspective on design linked to the idea of environment and domesticity, and makes films about visual theory through which she examines new hypotheses for redefining the relationship between design, art and architecture.
