Having obtained his Higher National Diploma, with honours, in Plastic Art Expression in 1988, Yann Fabès continued his plastic art and teaching activities at the Jean Monnet University, Saint-Etienne (Art History), and at the Saint-Etienne Higher School of Art and Design -ESADSE (artistic teaching, screen printing department). His plastic art works have simultaneously questioned photographic and pictorial practices, and are now exhibited in France and in Europe.
In 2003 he took over the pedagogical coordination of the Art option at the ESADSE, and then in addition, that of the Design and Communication option. From 2007 to 2011 he assumed the post of Director of Studies at a pivotal moment for the School: the constitution of the Public Institution of Cultural Cooperation Cité du design - ESADSE, the reforms linked to the Boulogne process, and the strategic positioning of the School in the international sphere.
Yann Fabès has been the Director of the ESADSE since 2011; His global vision of the two options, Art and Design, and its human element, are at the heart of his reflections to develop structural actions for the School.
