Banc d’essai: Banc Conquérant
Inspired by maritime forms, the Conquérant bench consists of a simple plate and a base. These two parts are assembled like a ship's hull on its pillar. The bench's proportions and elegant lines emphasise the qualities of Ductal, an innovative material designed and produced in France by mixing reactive powders with liquid additives and metal fibres. Ductal is a high-performance fibre-reinforced concrete with exceptional properties, both mechanical (resistance to compression and bending) and in terms of durability (resistance to chemicals and weathering). This material can be used to build lighter, thinner structures than conventional concretes. Malleable and soft to the touch, it can be cast in a mould and coloured.Conquérant Bench
