Dômes

Dômes is presented as an installation that questions a shape: in fact it involves confronting objects made by two ceramic artists, Sabine Orlandini and Maud Salançon, and a light fitting designer, Julie Laborde in one space.
How many ways can one shape be expressed (size, materials, colours)? How does this primitive, architectural shape occur in domestic objects? What connection is there between use value and the symbolic dimensions? Can we shelter under an object that is smaller than us? Just some of the questions that this exhibition will be attempting to answer.
