Véronique Vernette – Annick Picchio

Using objects from the last century, in a highly original place, Véronique Vernette and Annick Picchio re-appropriate and reinterpret an existing heritage to create a formal dialogue between design, objects from the past and plastic art works. This fits in perfectly with the theme of the experiences of beauty, as the object is at the centre of a quest that is purely aesthetic and creative. How, by drawing on the existing heritage for inspiration, is a day-to-day object turned into an aesthetic form that then becomes part of a coherent creative ensemble? This is the question that the two artists will be answering in an original exhibition mingling together sculptures, plastic art works and textile works.
