Khromasoma, le revers de l’image

Joris Guibert is a video artist and lecturer in cinema studies. He uses video as image, but also as sculpture, installation and performance. By exploring different technologies, he raises questions in an interactive, but also critical way about how they are used, but also about the place of the artist, the spectator and the work. Writing and playing images is the score he uses to question the medium and the technical tools, digital tools in particular. Nothing is given away a priori, the images presented are at once fixed and moving, works in themselves just as much as the device that produces them. Projections, cathode-ray screen and flat screens fill the venue to create a pathway where each visitor can confront and interact with the works.
